Nickles Badger
I first got involved with seismology here at USC during my last summer as an undergraduate student working as a field intern on SNEP (Sierra Nevada Earthscope Project) in summer 2006. I then went on to work with postdoctoral researcher Ian Bastow, aiding in the analysis of SNEP data for shear wave anisotropy. In fall of 2007 I began a Master's degree under advisor Tom Owens and I am currently in the early stages of carrying out a study of shear coupled p-waves to better constrain the lithospheric seismic structure of the Sierra Nevada.
I spend time outside of seismology enjoying the outdoors. Among others, these pleasures include mountain biking, kayaking, rock climbing, and backpacking.
